[labnetwork] Ceiling ion emitters

Hi all,

We are evaluating the ceiling emitters that were installed when our cleanroom was built in 2000. The emitter tips are supposed to generate ions to the air to reduce the risk of ESD. The system was bought from IONsystems (now SIMCO ion), model 5511.

Does any of you have ceiling emitters? It would be interesting to discuss the maintenance routines and tip replacement for the emitters, and also the effect and the placement of them.
