Rich,
I would recommend that you have your makeup water analyzed first, and then consult with the ASME standards. I know that Cambridge water is not the cleanest.

Subject: [labnetwork] boiler water question
Hi Everyone,
We have just finished the retube of our steam boilers. We are using a sodium hydroxide, sodium polyacrylate, sodium nitrite chemical to treat the condensate/feedwater to the boilers. I was wondering what the consenus was among my fellow fab managers for treatment?
