[labnetwork] Workforce Survey

Colleagues,



As many of you know, I left UMASS Lowell about a year ago and have re-joined the private sector.



While this is different from academia and offers new professional challenges for me, I have noticed a striking parallel between the two worlds: the same need for trained and talented staff in laboratories and manufacturing environments.



I am also currently working with Arc Completa to assess and quantify the need for workforce development in laboratory environments (both public and private sectors) and possibly develop a training program.



To do the initial assessment, I need a broad-based collection of data from industry and academia…..and this is where you come in.  Who better to provide the first-hand data set than the “Lab Network”?



I have attached a link to a brief (5 questions) survey to begin the data collection.  Please take it when you have a chance and also forward the link to any colleague(s) you think would be interested.
