<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">A solid clever-brooks (or equal) has a life expectancy around 25 years, but I have seen many units running without issue well past 40 years. Steam boiler life has a lot to do with system maintenance. If you have
a lot of untreated raw water makeup, inadequate corrosion inhibitors or poorly functioning dearator/preheater they can go pretty quick.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Have you had the boiler pressure vessel tested/scanned?<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Non-destructive testing can determine the remaining material thickness in the shell. If you have a coupon racks, you can track the rate of corrosion (inches/yr) and estimate the remaining life based on minimum
allowable thickness. If you don’t, you could swag the rate by looking at original material thickness.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
