<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">We are currently evaluating our exhaust and makeup air systems at LLNL and looking into ways that will improve the efficiency and/or optimize the flow rates so that lower CFM
is needed. Our solvent stations/wet benches and gas cabinets use about 50% and 25% of exhaust, resp. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">It seems that one may be able lower the exhaust needs by optimizing the exhaust flow during opening/closing of the gas cabinet doors or fume hood sash using suitable sensors
or by determining the actual flow using tracer gas testing, which could be up to 50% lower than the standard flow.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
