<p class="MsoNormal">The Nanoscale Fabrication Center (NFC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a nano-fabrication engineer. Position Vacancy Listing (PVL) is #233629 titled Instrumentation Technologist with an anticipated start date of August
1, 2021. A minimum of BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or Interdisciplinary Program Degree with micro/nano device fabrication experience is required. An advanced degree is desirable or equivalent professional
experience and knowledge in varied area of semiconductor fabrication and process design.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none">The candidate must have a strong background in the use of micro- and nanofabrication techniques, equipment, and clean room protocols.
<span style="color:black">Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of these fabrication techniques: lithography, e-beam evaporators, sputter deposition tools, reactive ion etchers, horizontal tube furnaces, or LPCVD systems.
Experience and expertise in<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="color:black">electrical and electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum components as related to semiconductor/device fabrication.
</span>Maintenance will be performed independently by the candidate and in close collaboration with field service engineers. The candidate will be expected to assist students and other researchers in all areas of tool use and process development. The position
will be responsible for developing documentation and training materials. The position will be responsible to training new users on the proper operation of the nano-fabrication systems.<o:p></o:p></p>
