Usually Nitrogen generators can provide a range of purity suitable for most industrial applications….the purity usually is higher when the unit is operated at lower flow and purity is lower at higher flow rates. For UHP applications you would likely need an add on purifier to remove O2, H20. If your UHP process is sensitive to other contaminants (CO,CO2, THC) there are some purifiers to remove these as well. There are two main types to consider----membrane based units and adsorbent bed units. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>A Nitrogen generator will not provide Liquid N2 and so any operations that require cryogenic temperatures that LIN provides would not be amenable to generated N2.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>John Boyle<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>John Boyle Consulting, LLC<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>4848 Canterbury Drive<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Emmaus, PA 18049<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>484-432-7596 Cell<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>610-965-3208 Office<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><div style='border:none;border-top:solid #B5C4DF 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0in 0in 0in'><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>From:</span></b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'> labnetwork [mailto:labnetwork-bounces@mtl.mit.edu] <b>On Behalf Of </b>Collins, Deon<br><b>Sent:</b> Thursday, May 26, 2022 9:09 AM<br><b>To:</b> Harlan, Richard D; labnetwork@mtl.mit.edu<br><b>Subject:</b> Re: [labnetwork] Is Nitrogen Generator a Viable Option<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>We have N2 supply via a generator. We supply both High purity and Ultra High purity N2 to our labs. The installation of an N2 generator will greatly reduce you LN2 cost but will have a large upfront cost as we have 2 N2 delivery(hard piping) structures in place. I would have to go through some historical data that is decades old to get you numbers but a it all depends on use. Best guess is a couple years out on ROI but it is a no brainer if you are a heavy N2 user. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='color:#002060;text-transform:uppercase'>Deon D.
