Hi all -

A couple of announcements for UGIM 2026.

First, for those who were simply snowed under during this
proposal season and needed just a little extra time, the deadline
for presenting papers for has been extended to Wednesday, May
6.

Second, another working group is being convened! Working Group #6
will deal with Fee Structures: A common challenge for shared-user
facilities is maintaining Federal Financial Compliance across
diverse fee structures and access policies. Many of us are
challenged to implement policies that maintain Compliance without
inadvertently violating other regulations. This panel session will
facilitate sharing lessons learned, best practices, pitfalls to
avoid, and strategies for navigating seemingly contradictory
compliance requirements. Panel topics include: equitable expense
recovery through rate structures, accurate multi-grant/account
charging, materials and inventory management, and efficient
billing practices.

If you are interested in participating in Working Group #6,
contact Brian Olmsted, Associate Director of the Minnesota Nano
Center.

And don't forget to register for UGIM 2026!

Cheers --
