<p>We at the UCSB Teaching cleanroom do our own laundry. My
colleague Rachel at UCSB CNSI setup a consumer grade LG laundry
machine with a stainless drum (I can get the exact model # if
there is any interest) and an RO system to use with an odorless
enzymatic detergent. Both our cleanrooms are somewhere between
class 10 - 100. I must say this has been a rather fruitful
decision that has resulted in significant cost savings for both.</p>

At U. Of Louisville, we have a cleanroom washing machine in
one of our chases. We do our own laundry once or twice a week
and hang it to dry in the same chase. Very cost effective for
smaller facilities. </div>

When I was at U-O, I started with CINTAS and then the team
switched to another vendor after I left. The issue will be size
appropriately and make sure the count is efficient enough. I
know they usually charge for damaged/severely stained gowns so
that’s something you have to monitor.</p>
