[labnetwork] University of Louisville MNTC Facility is open

Long,

Our MTTC cleanroom has been closed for a week and will be closed the rest of the semester to ALL students, including grad students. We will continue keeping the cleanroom closed to our industry and research partners at least through April 10 per the governors stay at home order.

I've reached out to our University Hospital offering up our masks, gloves, trionic gloves, acid gowns and face shields, my son is a paramedic with Albuquerque Fire and Rescue, and my daughter is a pharmacy intern at Walgreens. My wife is a teacher - schools are closed for at least three more weeks.

The University has ordered no students on campus, we are all teaching online - no labs either.

I have to say, our Governor has jumped on this - as you can see from our numbers - thanks for the map!

Stay Calm and Carry On!

Kind Regards,

Hi Guys,

Houston just got ordered to stay at home as much as possible effective at noon today. I was not able to convince our admins about the severity of the virus, so we are to remain open. Fortunately, as of today, all faculty have voluntarily stopped their research for the safety of their students. Cases are increasing exponentially in New York, see case map from NYTimes attached. Considering lack of test kits, these numbers significantly underestimate the actual number of infected. We should do our part and distance ourselves to protect our community from experiencing this pandemic like China, Italy, Iran, France, Switzerland, UK, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, and on and on.

Best,
Long

Note we are primarily a MEMS facility, if you have stringent CMOS processing needs then we may need to have further discussions. To check out our capabilities please go to the links below.
