Jim,
There are some considerations to think about before purchasing anything.
Is this space going to support any type of a photolithography processes? If so, you will need to control temperature, RH, and white light. Most modular and soft wall vendors generally specify the "class" of the particle control which is fine for non-photo related processes.
If you are to construct a modular clean space within a controlled environment, keep in mind that the HEPA filter fan units generally recirculate and filter the ambient air surrounding the module. If the ambient air is not meeting the specifications of the work to be done inside the module, you will have to have a modular system with all the bells and whistles associated with an air handling unit that treats the recirculating air as well as the make up air that keeps the space in positive pressure.
Just my $0.02
Equipment Dood.

Subject: [labnetwork] Temporary Cleanroom Spaces

Hi Labnetwork friends, hope your summer is going well.

Our university administration is discussing a temporary or modular cleanroom space – not the first time this has come up but it seems a bit more serious this time around. I’ve asked similar questions in the past but it seems more serious now so I am drilling down again…..

Does anyone have experience with these cleanrooms, especially in a university setting? Contact info for a supplier would certainly be a help. Any info on this area would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

jim
