[labnetwork] film on polypropylene wet bench surfaces

We are having an issue where we are finding a residue on the surfaces of
the plastic parts of the wet benches in our cleanroom.  It doesn't seem to
appear on metal surfaces.  The film can be removed by scrubbing with
deionized water and a cleanroom wipe.  Has anyone seen this issue with
plastic surfaces?  Is it just oxidation due to age?  Any other thoughts?
