[labnetwork] Bruker X-ray Area Detectors

Dear Colleagues,

Here at the LSU Nanofab we have a Bruker D8 2D XRD with a HiStar area detector. The HiStar is filled with a proprietary Xe balanced gas mixture that needs to be refilled every few years. Unfortunately, Bruker no longer offers this service, and we will soon need a refill.

Does anyone on the list:
1). Have experience refilling gas filled x-ray detectors OR
2). (even better) Have a Vantec 500 area detector they want to sell. The Vantec 500 is the next generation area detector that works with our D8.
