[labnetwork] Gold etchant with perovskite materials?

Hello Again,
I have a user who wants to use our Iodine/potassium based gold etchant to remove  gold from some perovskite samples of Lanthanum  Strontium Manganate (LaSrMNO3, ~12nm thick) layered on top of Strontium titanium oxide (~0.5mm SrTiO3), which I believe are both perovskite structures. None of the student's labmates  have done this process with those materials before and this would be new for us as well. Has anyone ever run into any safety or compatibility issues with this or a similar process? Do you take any special precautions with these materials?

 All relevant MSDS sheets are attached.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
