Hi Labnet members!  This may be most relevant to California/NV/AZ
institutions, but we have also had participants travel from *far* abroad
for the below trainings.

Please share with anyone interested in entering the semicondcutor
industry/fab.
No pre-requisites, meaning non-students, upskilling, re-skilling are all
applicable.

UCSB Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE), in partnership with the
California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI), SB City College, and the UCSB
NanoFabrication Facility, is offering Semiconductor Manufacturing courses

semiconductor devices are manufactured and highlights critical technical

*Cleanroom Technician *
*1 week in-person: August 10-14, 2026 | Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm*
Ready to get hands-on? This course combines classroom lectures with
27-hours of hands-on processing in the CNSI cleanroom at UCSB. Participants
will process two semiconductor wafers, learn proper documentation, and gain
exposure to statistical process control. No prior cleanroom experience
required.

*Microchip Fabrication I*
*3 weeks** in-person**: June 22 - July 10, 2026 | Mon-Fri, 9am-1pm*
A 60-hour deep dive into lithography, growth, etching, metallization, and
more. Ideal for those new to the field or looking to upskill, participants
leave with practical experience and a strong foundation in microfabrication
applicable to semiconductors, aerospace, automotive, and beyond.
