Hi all,
Thank you so much for the advice and recommendations! I'm glad to hear there are some non-sleazy suppliers out there. It sounds like there are lots of awful experiences with CAE. Perhaps there are grounds for some sort of class action suit...

David

You might also consider Moov, Fabsurplus, Bridgetronic, or even Bid-service.

Hi David,

I have heard exactly the same thing and more about CAE. I’ve also heard selling to them has been a real trial for some.

On a brighter note, we have bought from and sold to Class one in the past and they were excellent even sending technicians to us to pack up the equipment.

Hello Labnetwork,

We're looking for recommendations for sellers of used and refurbished fab equipment. Are there any vendors you've had good experiences with?

Also, a word of warning:

We purchased a used benchtop tool in as-is condition with CAE Online and it has been a truly horrible experience. Despite paying in full a year ago, we have still not received our equipment, nor even a ship date, and their staff and management are extremely unhelpful or willing to refund our money. We have never encountered such customer-hostile policies before. Please don't fall for their boasting about being the world's leading supplier of used fab equipment!

Best regards,

David
