Hi Sandra,
We happen to have an older Bruker Dektak probably from 2015. Our tool uses 3 USB cable to interface with the PC. In our case we have directly connected the cables to the PC and not via hub or PC monitor USB ports. It would be easy to check if your tool is directly connected to the PC or via USB hubs or via USB ports on the PC monitor(with built in USB hubs). Sometimes when equipment is connected via hubs there is connectivity issues when PC goes to sleep and wakes up from hibernation. On the PC windows side check how the windows handles the USB ports and does it force the port to go into some form of sleep or low power modes to be energy efficient. Keep power setting to always on and no power saving settings.
Warm Regards

Subject: [labnetwork] Curious about issues with Dektak Pro software
⚠ Caution: External sender
Howdy All,
We recently acquired a Dektak Pro surface profilometer from Bruker and are having persistent problems with the software freezing. We rarely had this issue with our older DektakXT. They updated from software version 6.14 on August 8th to 6.8 on August 27th, so curious if they are having issues with bugs. Is anyone else experiencing problems?
Thanks for your insights!
