Hello James,

Are you working with the U.S. branch in California? We have several Heidelberg tools of various ages at the Utah Nanofab at the University of Utah and we have found Heidelberg to be very responsive even without service contracts.

The software and board sets are proprietary so finding an outside service provider could prove difficult or impossible.

I am the tool owner of our DWL 66 tool and would be happy to chat if you would like to email me.

We have an old Heidelberg mask writer at Nanofab Facility at University of Miami that encountered some issues. We reached out to Heidelberg US, and after some troubleshooting, it was determined that we needed to replace the entire PC. They managed to resolve the issue, and although it took a long time, the machine is now fully functional.
