[labnetwork] Troubleshooting Help

Hi Joey,

Are you sure it is the USB to Serial converter that is the issue? These 
are pretty robust (especially the FTDI and Silicon Labs CP2102N based 
ones). Can you post the error log? Do you know if the COM port got 
reassigned somehow or if some other program is holding the port open? If 
possible, disable USB power save in the BIOS or in Windows. What does 
device manager say?
